A Demister Pad, also called a Wire Mesh Mist Eliminator, is an efficient separation device designed to remove entrained liquid droplets from gas or vapor streams. It is manufactured from finely knitted metal or plastic wire mesh that provides a large surface area for droplet collection. As the gas passes through the mesh, tiny droplets collide with the wire, merge into larger droplets through coalescence, and drain back under gravity, allowing clean gas to pass through. Demister Pads are available in standard densities of 110 kg/m³, 144 kg/m³, and 192 kg/m³, offering different levels of separation efficiency and pressure drop to suit various applications. They are widely used in distillation columns, scrubbers, absorbers, separators, evaporators, and other process equipment across chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, fertilizer, and power industries for reliable mist elimination and improved process performance.
