Vane Pack
A Vane Pack, also known as a Chevron-Type Mist Eliminator, is a highly efficient device used to remove liquid droplets from gas or vapor streams. It consists of specially designed V-shaped plates arranged in a zig-zag pattern that forces the gas to change direction multiple times. Due to their inertia, liquid droplets cannot follow these sharp turns and instead strike the vane surfaces, where they coalesce into larger droplets and drain away under gravity. Vane Packs are available in Plain, Hooked, and Pocketed designs, each offering different levels of separation efficiency to meet specific process requirements. They are widely used in scrubbers, separators, absorbers, knockout drums, and process vessels, especially in high-velocity, dirty, or fouling gas applications, where their durable construction and low maintenance ensure reliable long-term performance.
